Job summary

Yokogawa Engineering Asia PTE LTD seeks a Senior Researcher with a strong background in software for Power SCADA, PMS, and energy systems. You will lead end-to-end development, drive R&D roadmaps, and collaborate with startups and research institutions to advance grid-technology solutions.

You will coordinate project delivery, manage budgets and timelines, and contribute to IP creation while representing the company at industry events.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering or a related field (Postgraduate preferred for Senior Researcher position).
• 5-12 years (flexibility for seniority level) of experience in end-to-end software development and deployments in Power SCADA / PMS, Power system controls and automation for distributed or utility-scale power systems.
• Relevant software applications development skills needed to support the research & development work.

• Represent Yokogawa at conferences, workshops, and industry events.
• Identify and evaluate emerging trends in new energy systems & Grid stability technologies etc
• Contribute to R&D roadmaps, Prototype development and proofs-of-concept, IP creation and patent filing
