Job description

Are you ready to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive commercial growth and operational excellence? We are seeking a Senior Regional Data and AI Engineer to proactively design, develop, and maintain a robust data foundation across the APAC region. In this highly impactful role, you will independently build data pipelines, develop data models, and deploy AI algorithms to optimize commercial performance and efficiency. Working closely with cross-functional and corporate teams, you will harness diverse data sources—including sales, marketing, supply chain, customer, and omnichannel data—to define the future of our customer experience and overall business success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead data engineering initiatives using agile frameworks, effectively managing backlogs and adapting to evolving commercial demands.
  • Design, develop, and scale end-to-end data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from ERP, CRM, supply chain systems, e-commerce APIs, and omnichannel platforms into centralized cloud and on-premise systems.
  • Take full ownership of data solutions, proactively monitoring and troubleshooting pipeline failures to ensure data reliability and uptime.
  • Create and manage regional master data (products, customers, suppliers, inventory) to ensure consistency, including direct assistance to market teams (e.g., China) for master data migration initiatives.
  • Develop robust data models to support sales forecasting, customer segmentation, pricing optimization, and data consolidation strategies.
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI models into production environments on-premise while addressing strict data privacy, security, and governance requirements.
  • Develop a strategy to establish a unique customer identifier across all omnichannel touchpoints and build a comprehensive data catalogue for commercial teams.
  • Identify new data sources and consolidation opportunities to reduce redundant subscriptions and enhance commercial intelligence.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate team to align regional data initiatives with overarching commercial objectives and best practices.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of data engineering experience (ingestion, transformation, modeling) with a strong focus on integrating diverse data sources across cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premise environments.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data warehousing concepts, and programming languages (Python, R) for data manipulation, API integration, and model development.
  • Ability to process datasets in the Mandarin language and effectively interact with Chinese markets.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly translate complex technical concepts and data insights for non-technical business stakeholders.
  • An innovative, agile mindset with a proven ability to manage concurrent projects in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to data accuracy, rigorous testing, and clear technical documentation.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of supply chain management principles and experience with pharmaceutical industry data and regulations.
