Job description

The Radiographer will be responsible for carrying out a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging modalities available at the hospital, while maintaining excellence in service quality, patient care, operational efficiency, and productivity

Working Hours: 5.5 day work week and required to perform on‑call duties.

Responsibilities

Perform all diagnostic imaging services according to standards described in SOP.

Ensure examination is performed to the correct patient and observes radiation safety rules and respective procedural consents described in SOP.

Ensure the quality of the film is optimal, it is correctly labelled and the examination requested has been completed before sending for reporting or providing as wet‑film to patient.

Ensure that the examination code entered into the system corresponds to the examination requested.

Explain the examination to the patient, what he/she will be undergoing and the estimated duration of it.

Ensure patients’ safety, physical and emotional well‑being is taken care of during and after the examination.

Ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff and public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation.

Perform on‑call and after‑hours duties, when necessary, ensuring prompt response in line with the prescribed standard of the Hospital.

Perform daily QA procedures on equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations to ensure optimal performance of these equipment.

Perform any other duties as instructed by the Director.

Qualifications

Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions.

Registered with Allied Health Professions Council.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Singapore as a Radiographer in a diagnostic imaging facility.

Experience in sub‑specialties preferred as in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography.

Working knowledge of PACS system.
