Job summary

AVOSTEEL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing structural steel team. You will handle tender submissions, cost estimation, and commercial management from tender through project completion.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, and candidates with exposure to structural steel or construction will have an advantage. Strong Excel, Office, and AutoCAD skills are preferred, with good communication and teamwork expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with relevant working experience in structural steel, steel fabrication, or the construction industry will have an advantage.
• Familiar with construction contracts, quantity take-off, cost estimation, and progress claims.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Able to read engineering and construction drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions.
• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
• Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare progress claims, payment responses, and final accounts.
• Manage variation orders (VO), contract administration, and cost control.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams on contractual and commercial matters.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow.
• Maintain proper documentation and commercial records.
• Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractors where required.
• Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties assigned by the management.
