Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant QS experience in steel structure projects.
• Knowledge of steel construction methods and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee tender preparation, quotations, and progress claims for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage detailed take-off measurements, BOQ, and tender documents for steel structures.
• Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for cost effectiveness.
• Advise project teams on cost implications of design changes and variations.
• Supervise interim payments, claims, and maintain project documentation.
• Mentor junior QS staff and ensure quality standards and knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and contractors to align costing with specs.
• Monitor steel material market trends and update pricing in budgets.
• Handle contractual matters including claims, disputes, and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and policies.
