Job summary

YEC PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to support bids and ongoing projects in Civil/steel works. You will prepare take-offs, formulate bills of quantities, and manage procurement for structural steel and miscellaneous metals, ensuring accurate cost data.

You will evaluate tenders, prepare variation orders, submit progress claims, and monitor budgets to maintain financial control, while coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure timely payments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in pre- and post-tender activities.
• Experience with structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Strong cost evaluation and procurement analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare measurement sheets and quantity take-offs from drawings.
• Develop and send RFQ packages to suppliers and subcontractors.
• Evaluate and formulate bills of quantities for costs.
• Source and assess suppliers for tenders.
• Construct comparison sheets for quotations.
• Procure materials according to drawings.
• Prepare and submit variation order quotations.
• Submit progressive claims to clients and follow up on payments.
• Prepare, check, and monitor project budgets.
• Evaluate and verify supplier/subcontractor claims.
