Job summary

Established A1 Building Main Contractor in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong project/post-contract experience to join our team. This hands-on role focuses on cost control, procurement, progress claims, variation orders and contract administration on flagship construction projects.

You will work closely with project managers, site teams, consultants and subcontractors to manage budgets, cash flow, final accounts, and commercial risk from tender through

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Project/Post-Contract QS experience in building construction.
• Experience with main-contractor projects preferred.
• Ability to independently manage QS/commercial matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage QS, contractual and commercial matters for ongoing building projects.
• Handle subcontractor procurement, quotation evaluation, commercial comparison and appointments.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, forecasts and cash flow throughout the construction stage.
• Prepare and manage main contract progress claims and supporting documentation.
• Assess subcontractor progress claims, payment matters and commercial issues.
• Manage variation orders, claims and contractual matters with consultants and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs, identify potential overruns and highlight commercial risks to the project team.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and support negotiation and settlement of final accounts.
• Work closely with Project Managers, site teams, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on project commercial matters.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong Project / Post-Contract experience to join an established A1 building main contractor.

This is a hands-on project QS role covering cost control, subcontractor procurement, progress claims, variation orders, contract administration and final accounts.

Strong Quantity Surveyors with relevant building main contractor experience who are ready for their next career step may also be considered.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Project / Post-Contract Quantity Surveying within building construction.
• Building main-contractor experience will be highly advantageous.
• Strong hands-on experience in procurement, progress claims, variation orders and cost control.
• Good knowledge of contract administration, subcontractor management and final accounts.
• Able to independently manage QS / commercial matters and work closely with project teams.
• Strong Quantity Surveyors ready to progress into broader Senior QS responsibilities may also be considered.
