china harbour (singapore) engineering company pte. ltd. is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to support subcontract administration on large construction projects.

You will prepare RFQ and tender documents, engage subcontractors, and manage communications between tenderers and construction teams. You will assist QS and Contracts Managers with Sub-Contracts, Works Orders, and Purchase Orders, administer subcontract records, and ensure timely payment processing.

Competenze

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Purchasing/Procurement, Business, or Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and subcontract administration within construction projects.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Contract/Construction Law.

Mansioni

• Prepare RFQ and Open Tender documents with construction teams.
• Identify and engage tenderers and subcontractors via RFQ invitations.
• Coordinate communications to resolve RFQ queries between tenderers and teams during RFQ stage.
• Organize post-tender interviews involving tenderers, QS, Contracts, and other teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with construction teams to prepare accurate Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Open Tender documents.
• Identify and engage potential tenderers and subcontractors by sending RFQ invitations.
• Manage communication to resolve queries and clarifications between tenderers and construction teams during the RFQ stage.
• Organize and coordinate post-tender interviews involving tenderers, construction, quantity surveying, and contracts teams.
• Support the Quantity Surveying (QS) and Contracts Managers in handling quantity surveying tasks related to Sub-Contracts, Works Orders, and Purchase Orders.
• Administer subcontract documentation and maintain accurate records for the contracts team.
• Process and verify payment requests submitted by subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely payments.
• Execute additional ad hoc tasks as assigned by the QS Manager or Contracts Manager.

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Purchasing/Procurement, Business, or Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and subcontract administration within construction projects.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Contract/Construction Law.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working independently on large-scale process-related construction projects.
