Job summary

Takenaka is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, variation management and progress billing for large-scale projects in Singapore. The role involves preparing quotations, valuing progress claims, and coordinating with site teams and consultants.

The ideal candidate has a relevant degree or diploma and at least five years of QS experience, preferably with a main contractor, and familiarity with regional construction practices. Office-based with site exposure in Woodlands.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Experience with main contractors is preferred, especially for building, commercial, industrial or large-scale projects.
• Experience on Asia-region construction projects is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and quotations for variation works and submissions.
• Value and prepare progress claims and payments of suppliers.
• Prepare variation orders, progress payments and final accounts.
• Perform measurements for quantities.
• Evaluate price comparisons.
• Monitor project variations.
• Attend site and consultant/technical meetings.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
