Job summary

CHINA CIVIL ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION Branch Office Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 2–3 years of construction experience. You will handle take-offs, BOQ preparation, tendering, and contract administration for both pre- and post-contract activities.

Responsibilities include cost estimation, supplier liaison, and tracking changes to ensure budget adherence throughout project delivery in Singapore. Strong communication and site liaison are essential.

Qualifications

• Take-off quantities and prepare BOQ, drawings and specifications for quotations.
• Source sub-contractors and suppliers; cost estimation for pre- and post-contract.
• Pre- and post-tender/contract negotiation, administration and monitoring.
• Track design/construction changes and adjust budget projections.
• Price and forecast costs of materials required for the project.
• Prepare tender documents; call for quotations; evaluate and compare costs.
• Follow up on invoices, purchase orders, work orders, sub-contracts and letters of award.
• Monitor and evaluate sub-contractor progress payments and variation orders.
• Attend site meetings; liaison with project sites for claims.

Experience required;

• Take-off quantities, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ, drawings and specifications for the calling of quotations).
• Source for sub-contractors and suppliers, quantity measurement, costing and estimation for both pre-contract and post contract.
• Pre and post tender/contract negotiation, administration, and monitoring.
• Track changes to the Design/ Construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
• Price and forecast the cost of different materials required for the project.
• Procurement responsibilities including tender document preparation, calling for quotation for sub-contract works, evaluate, and compare costs before awarding the works for sub-contract package.
• Follow up on invoice preparation, purchase order, work order, sub-contract agreement and letter of award to sub-contractors and/or suppliers.
• Monitor and evaluate work progress and assess sub-contractor’s progress payment claims and variation order claims before certification. This will include contract administration for any variation or change for both Sub-contracts and Main Contracts.
• To follow up on monthly progress claims in a timely manner.
• Involved in respective site, client, and consultant meetings, Liaise closely with project sites for related claims.
• Minimum diploma or degree holder in Building / Quantity Surveying / Civil / Structural Engineering
• At least 2-3 year(s) of relevant working experience in Construction sector
