Job summary

SHUN YI CHENG CONTRACT ENGINEERING PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to support commercial and contract aspects of construction projects. You will assist in defining client requirements, prepare tenders and cost analyses, and coordinate with site teams to ensure proposals are viable end-to-end.

The role requires a diploma in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, at least 5 years in construction, strong negotiation and planning skills, and willingness to travel to

Qualifications

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience in construction cost estimation or finance is advantageous.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing client requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
• Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders (materials, quantities, labour, time).
• Prepare tender and contract documents and negotiate contracts.
• Liaise with site managers, clients, subcontractors and suppliers; allocate and oversee subcontractors.
• Perform risk, value management and cost control during construction.
• Certify payments to subcontractors and manage progress claims.
• Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial and contract risks.
• Understand health and safety regulations and ensure compliance.

• Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies to ensure their proposals will work
• Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and time
• Prepare tender and contract documents
• Negotiate contracts and work schedules
• Liaise with site managers, clients, subcontractors and suppliers
• Allocate work to subcontractors and oversee their work at all stages of the construction
• Perform risk, value management and cost control during construction
• Responsible for project progress claims and provide advice on contractual disputes
• Identify, analyze and develop responses to all commercial and contract risks
• Value completed work, oversee bills and certify payments to subcontractors
• Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

Job Requirement

• Min 5 years of relevant working experience in construction industry
• Min Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications
• Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous
• Sound knowledge of construction
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organize, plan and strategize
• Traveling from the office to various sites as required
