Job summary

CM ENGINEERING & TRADING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Assistant Contract Manager to support pre- and post-contract activities in a construction environment.

You will handle take-offs, BOQs, tender preparation, procurement, and contract administration while coordinating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and budget control.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in Construction sector.
• Experience in quantity surveying and contract administration.
• Experience with tenders, procurement and change orders.
• Ability to liaise with clients, consultants and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Take-off quantities, prepare BOQs, drawings and specifications for quotations.
• Source sub-contractors and suppliers, cost estimation for pre- and post-contract.
• Pre- and post tender/contract negotiation, administration, and monitoring.
• Track changes to Design/Construction work and adjust budgets accordingly.
• Price and forecast material costs for projects.
• Procurement: tender documents, calls for quotations, evaluate and award sub-contracts.
• Follow up on invoices, purchase orders, work orders, and sub-contracts.
• Monitor progress claims and variation orders; contract administration for sub- contracts and main contracts.
• Attend site, client, and consultant meetings; liaise with project sites on related claims.

Roles & Responsibilities

Experience required;

• Take-off quantities, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ, drawings and specifications for the calling of quotations).
• Source for sub-contractors and suppliers, quantity measurement, costing and estimation for both pre-contract and post contract.
• Pre and post tender/contract negotiation, administration, and monitoring.
• Track changes to the Design/ Construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
• Price and forecast the cost of different materials required for the project.
• Procurement responsibilities including tender document preparation, calling for quotation for sub-contract works, evaluate, and compare costs before awarding the works for sub-contract package.
• Follow up on invoice preparation, purchase order, work order, sub-contract agreement and letter of award to sub-contractors and/or suppliers.
• Monitor and evaluate work progress and assess sub-contractor's progress payment claims and variation order claims before certification. This will include contract administration for any variation or change for both Sub-contracts and Main Contracts.
• To follow up on monthly progress claims in a timely manner.
• Involved in respective site, client, and consultant meetings, Liaise closely with project sites for related claims.
• At least 5 year(s) of relevant working experience in Construction sector
