Job summary

Jia Hong Engineering Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee construction contracts across projects.

You will draft, review, and negotiate agreements, and administer contracts in line with project requirements and company policies. The role requires 7–10 years of contract management experience in construction, with knowledge of forms like SIA, REDAS, FIDIC, and the ability to handle claims, variations, and disputes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, or related field.
• 7–10 years of construction contract management experience; HDB project experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of standard contract forms (e.g., PSSCOC, SIA, REDAS, FIDIC).
• Experience handling claims, variations, and contractual disputes.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements.
• Administer contracts in accordance with project requirements and company policies.
• Manage contract lifecycle from tender stage through project completion.
• Identify contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and project-specific requirements.
• Liaise with project managers, quantity surveyors, legal advisors, and clients.
• Develop, implement, and monitor systems for QS, contract, and cost management.
• Review and monitor project costing, including inter-project and inter-company cost/charging concerns.
• Resolve issues encountered by the QS/project team, including client and subcontractor cost and contractual matters.
• Take ownership of project cost and contractual settlements.
• Handle claims, variations, extensions of time and dispute resolution.
• Maintain proper documentation and contract records.
