Job summary

Randstad Singapore is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead tender activities and manage a QS team on government board projects. You will oversee quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and value engineering while ensuring timely tender responses and stakeholder alignment.

The role requires a degreed QS with at least 10 years in LTA/MRT/tunneling, strong Excel skills, and willingness to work on-site at a north Singapore location. Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management/Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of QS/contract management experience in LTA/MRT/Tunneling projects.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and MS Excel.
• 5 day work week - 8.30am to 6pm.
• Willing to work on site: project based at north of Singapore (Yishun/AMK/Bishan).
• Can commence immediately or within short notice period.

Responsibilities

• Understand tender requirements.
• Lead and manage a team of QS.
• Provide strategic cost guidance.
• Exercise collaborative plan and define extent of works.
• Timely management of tender activities.
• Review quotations with the designated specification.
• Review quantities and cross check for items overlooked.
• Proof reading for tender responses to highlight areas for inclusion of quantity.
• Review cost impact (value engineering proposals/variations).
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs.
