JERA Global Markets is seeking a Senior Quantitative Analyst to join its Americas team, focusing on deal valuation, modelling and risk oversight across US pipeline gas and power markets.

The role blends Front Office and Middle Office work in a fast-paced trading environment, requiring strong quantitative skills, programming capability in Python and experience with structured transactions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in quantitative valuation, risk management or structuring within a commodity trading environment.
• Experience supporting both front-office valuation needs and middle-office valuation, risk or control requirements.
• Strong knowledge of US pipeline gas markets, including transportation, storage and related structures.
• Strong knowledge of US power markets, generation economics and VPP valuation.
• Proven ability to value structured commodity transactions and build robust valuation models.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key Quant contact for JERAGM Americas, supporting Front Office commercial activity and Middle Office risk, valuation and control in the US timezone.
• Provide quantitative support for deal structuring, valuation and commercial decisions across US pipeline gas, gas storage, and US power assets.
• Develop, review and enhance valuation models and risk analytics used for trading support and independent valuation oversight.
• Coordinate with the Singapore HQ Quant team to align US modelling with global standards.
• Communicate valuation results and drivers clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support validation and documentation of valuation methodologies and controls for the Americas portfolio.
• Share technical knowledge and help develop quantitative capabilities across JERAGM Americas.
