Job summary

JERA Global Markets is expanding its North American Gas Trading business and seeks a Settlements Analyst to ensure timely and accurate settlements of physical and financial trades. You will work with front office, treasury, and groups finance to resolve discrepancies, maintain AP/AR, and ensure compliance with trading and regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CA).
• At least 4 years of Settlements experience, preferably in the Gas industry.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, strong self-initiative.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate with people at all levels.
• Experience with EKA, SAP/SUN systems are preferable.

Responsibilities

• Preparation, issuance, reconciliation, and settlement of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoices for physical and financial trading activities.
• Proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Partner with front office and treasury to resolve overdue AP/AR items.
• Support Group Finance Controller/Financial Controller on ad-hoc duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve the overall JERAGM’s goals and objectives.
• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with trading and regulatory standards and other compliance requirements.
