Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a seasoned Quantitative Analyst to join our Global Trading Analytics team in Singapore. You will design and enhance quantitative models, support gas & power trading across markets, and collaborate with traders, analysts and technologists to drive commercial value.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in energy trading or related quantitative roles, strong programming skills in Python, and a deep understanding of market dynamics, pricing and risk management.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years in energy trading or related quantitative environments.
• Strong quantitative and analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Experience developing models for trading strategy, valuation, and risk management.
• Knowledge of gas and power markets, derivatives pricing, and stochastic methods.
• Proficiency in Python and analytics libraries.
• Experience with large datasets and ML in trading.
• Ability to communicate complex results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop quantitative models for trading strategy, valuation, and risk management.
• Apply statistical, econometric, and ML techniques to identify signals and opportunities.
• Build analytical frameworks for market fundamentals, volatility, and cross‑commodity relations.
• Collaborate with traders to implement hedging strategies and optimize portfolios.
• Develop and maintain valuation models for assets and structured transactions.
• Conduct back‑testing, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Create dashboards and analytics platforms for decision support.
• Stay current on quantitative finance developments and communicate results to stakeholders.
