Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks a Lead Quality Engineer in Manufacturing to oversee QA and QC at cell and plant levels, implement QMS, drive plant-wide quality initiatives, and lead problem-solving to reduce CoPQ. The role requires strong Lean/Six Sigma, ISO 9001:2015 knowledge, and at least 7 years in manufacturing quality/engineering.

Reports to Quality Manager and mentors staff. You will champion zero-defect frameworks, conduct RCA, support audit programs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• 7 years operational, quality and engineering experience in manufacturing industry preferred
• Basic understanding of ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Systems
• Practitioner of Lean/ 6 Sigma methodologies

Responsibilities

• Owns quality assurance and quality control at assigned cell level
• Involves QA of products and manufacturing processes
• Supports plant-wide quality initiatives beyond cell level
• Champions zero-defect framework and conducts root cause analyses
• Leads plant level training to move factory toward skill-based competency assessment
• Supports QMS requirements and internal audit programs
• Resolves customer NCRs and drives containment actions
• Mentors junior team members and leads cross-functional teams
