Job summary

ASM in Singapore seeks an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join the Software Engineering team, delivering QA software for semiconductor processing equipment. You will automate QA, align with CI/CD workflows, and ensure robust validation of hardware-software integrations.

The role requires 5+ years in software testing or test automation, a degree in CS/CE, and hands-on skills with QA tools and programming (Python/C++/C#). Travel up to 10–25% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, software testing or test automation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language/test case management/issue tracking software.
• Hands-on experience as a Quality Engineer or software developer in test in semiconductor/electromechanical equipment environments.
• Strong communication skills for interactions with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, document, and improve software test suites.
• Perform manual and automated testing of software in simulation and on physical semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Analyze functionality of designs and provide feedback on quality and performance.
• Automate and maintain QA processes to integrate with CI/CD workflows.
• Apply existing quality standards and develop new ones as needed.
• Learn system operation including mechanical, electrical, and software functionality.
• Create and manage test plans and test cases verifying software enhancements and fixes.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering to test system usage and identify enhancements.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
