Job summary

PebbleRoad is seeking a senior QA engineer to own the automation strategy for a Singapore government digital platform built on OutSystems. You will design a Playwright framework, integrate tests into CI/CD, and drive automated API testing and regression suites, collaborating with developers, business analysts and product owners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software QA with hands-on automation.
• Experience leading Playwright-based test automation.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins).
• Hands-on API testing and automated API tests.
• Experience creating maintenance regression suites for releases.
• Scripting in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java or C#.
• Degree or Diploma in CS/Engineering/IT or related field.
• Strong knowledge of risk-based testing and both manual/automation testing for web, mobile, APIs.
• Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban) with TDD/BDD and shift-left testing.
• Familiarity with Jira or TestRail for test management and defect tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup and development of a Playwright test automation framework and write tests.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure reliability.
• Lead automated API testing and maintain test suites.
• Build and maintain automated regression suites for nightly/CI builds.
• Advise developers on unit tests and guide QA on automation contributions.
• Support manual feature testing, bug verification, and defect tracking in Jira.
• Design risk-based test strategies and plan testing for sprints/releases.
• Collaborate with product owners and analysts on acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate UAT with stakeholders and assist in release quality reporting.
• Support performance and security testing activities.
