Job summary

F5 is seeking a Security Engineer to lead Product Security Incident Response (PSIRT), vulnerability management, and customer security incident response. You will guide investigations, coordinate remediation, and share actionable guidance across global teams to strengthen incident response and security culture.

You will mentor engineers, develop incident response plans, and contribute to security advisories and detections while aligning with F5's quality processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in technical security roles (incident response, security support, monitoring or consulting).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of CVE, CVSS, vulnerability assessment, risk prioritization and security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead security incident investigations and remediation efforts.
• Deliver Tier 2/3 security support with escalation as needed.
• Monitor and assess vulnerabilities across products and services using reports, disclosures and threat intel.
• Coordinate with Engineering and other stakeholders to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Develop and publish security advisories, mitigations, and fix notifications.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional security initiatives.
