Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. seeks a Security Engineer to lead PSIRT activities, vulnerability management, and customer security incident response. You will coordinate complex investigations, drive remediation, and share actionable guidance across global teams.

The role requires strong incident response expertise, cloud security knowledge, and mentoring of engineers while developing resilient security processes and training programs. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in technical security roles such as incident response, security support, monitoring, or consulting.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• CVE/CPE/CVSS knowledge with risk prioritization and security frameworks (NIST).
• Public cloud certification or equivalent demonstrated capability.
• Experience coordinating product vulnerability response in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead security incident investigations, attack analysis, and remediation efforts including escalated customer cases.
• Monitor, validate, and assess vulnerabilities using CVEs, threat intelligence, and bug bounty submissions.
• Prioritize vulnerabilities by severity, guide risk assessments, coordinate remediation with engineering and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering/PM/Legal/Communications to publish advisories and fix notifications.
• Mentor engineers, develop incident response plans, and improve processes.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.
