Job summary

Hwa Seng Builder Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a senior civil engineer to oversee complex infrastructure projects, including underpasses, ramps, cut & cover tunnels, roads, and rail works. You will manage project execution, supervise sites, and enforce safety and regulatory compliance across all stages.

The role requires 10–12 years of experience, a PE Board-recognized degree, and strong leadership along with proficiency in Primavera, MS Projects, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (PE Board-recognized).
• 10–12 years' experience in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure with focus on underpasses, ramps, tunnels, roads and rail projects.
• In-depth knowledge of authorities' requirements and regulations for construction projects.
• Proactive, responsible, and strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently under pressure.
• Proficient in Primavera, MS Projects and AutoCAD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director with project management, site supervision, and risk control to achieve objectives.
• Manage and supervise project execution; monitor site progress to ensure timely, on-budget completion.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and the WSH Act across all project stages.
• Implement cost controls to keep projects within budget while optimizing resources.
• Provide leadership to project teams and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address project-related challenges effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of authorities' requirements and regulations for full compliance.
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Director (PD) with various project functions, encompassing project management, site supervision, and risk control, to ensure the successful achievement of project objectives
• Manage and supervise project execution, ensuring site progress is monitored closely and projects are completed on time and within budget

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (certificates recognized by the PE Board)
• At least 10 to 12 years of experience in extensive experience in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure works, with a strong focus on the construction of underpasses, ramps, cut & cover tunnels, roads, and rail projects
• In-depth knowledge of relevant authorities' requirements and regulations pertaining to construction projects
• Proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility and exceptional interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and dynamic, with a proven ability to thrive in a demanding work environment
• Capable of working independently and effectively under pressure, while also being a valuable team player
• Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera, Microsoft Projects, and AutoCAD is advantageous
