Job summary

w empire pte. ltd. is seeking a qualified Civil/Structural Engineer to support on-site project execution. The role involves assisting senior project management in daily contract management, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and schedules while upholding safety standards.

You will bring a minimum degree in civil/structural engineering and at least five years of relevant experience, with proficiency in planning software and a proactive, communicative team mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist PRPM/SPM/PM in day-to-day contract management.
• Advise on site quality and safety issues.
• Determine non-conformances on works.
• Liaise with Contractor to rectify non-conformances and document them.
• Ensure site decisions are conveyed to Contractor promptly.
• Ensure works meet specifications, drawings and programme with quality and safety.
• Provide feedback on quality and safety and suggest improvements.
• Supervise installation and monitoring of instrumentation.
• Lead a team of supervisors to ensure full-time supervision on site.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/ Senior Project Manager (SPM)/ Project Manager (PM) in day-to-day management of the contract


• Advise the PRPM/SPM/PM on site quality and safety issues.


• Determine any non-conformances on works


• Liaise with Contractor to rectify any non-conformances and document them properly


• Ensure that decisions on site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable time frame.


• Ensure that works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising on quality and safety


• Provide feedback to the PRPM/SPM/PM on quality and safety matters and suggest quality improvement measures for implementation on site


• Supervise installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation


• Lead a team of supervisors to ensure full time supervision of works on site by supervisor /client

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering


• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in project/construction environment


• Proficient in relevant software programmes for planning and project work


• Pro-active team player with good analytical and communication skills


• Required to have at least 2 years of viaduct and/or flyover construction experience
