QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned software leader to drive enterprise applications in Singapore. You will design, develop, and deploy robust Java-based solutions while guiding a technical team through design reviews, coding, testing, and deployments.

You will champion security, performance, and scalability, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure delivery excellence in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with BPM, REST/SOAP, and cloud platforms is a plus.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in development & management of enterprise applications using Java/J2EE stack.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Hands-on experience delivering high-quality software projects with JAVA technologies.
• Knowledge of Eclipse, GitHub, SoapUI, Postman, Jira, and SVN.
• Familiarity with iBPS, OmniDocs, Omniscan and BPM concepts.
• Proficient in web app security, REST/SOAP APIs, performance & scalability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and install robust software solutions across the lifecycle from design to maintenance.
• Lead and guide the technical team, set priorities, and ensure timely project deliverables.
• Prepare and maintain project plans, estimates, and milestone tracking with stakeholders.
• Coordinate across business, PM, QA, infra, and support teams to align scope and delivery.

Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• The incumbent will be responsible for developing and installing robust software solutions.
• The candidate is expected to actively participate in various stages of the software development lifecycle, including detailed design, coding, code walkthroughs, peer code reviews, unit testing, system testing, UAT, demos, POCs, installation, and maintenance of software modules.
• Responsibilities include ensuring the preparation of crucial documents such as software prototypes, system architecture, software design documents, code review artifacts, installation/deployment documents, release documents, and technical documentation.
• The incumbent will document and demonstrate solutions through the development of flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code. They will ensure that project tasks are completed within defined effort and timelines.
• Other key responsibilities encompass preparing and installing solutions based on system specifications, standards, and programming. The candidate will be involved in testing processes, including writing test cases, unit testing, system testing, and negative testing. Troubleshooting activities involve log analysis and database query optimization.
• The candidate is entrusted with protecting operations by maintaining confidentiality of information. Additionally, they provide valuable information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
• This role demands a proactive and dynamic individual who can contribute significantly to the success of software projects and adhere to the highest quality standards.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and guide the technical team by assigning responsibilities, setting priorities, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of project deliverables.
• Prepare and maintain project plans, effort estimates, resource allocation, delivery schedules, and milestone tracking in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct regular team reviews to assess progress, remove delivery impediments, manage dependencies, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Serve as a key coordination point among business stakeholders, project management, product teams, quality assurance, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure alignment on scope and deliverables.
• Identify, assess, and track project risks and issues, define mitigation actions, lift critical concerns in a timely manner, and drive them to closure.
• Provide clear and timely project status updates, including progress, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and key decisions, to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Mentor team members through technical guidance, knowledge-sharing sessions, code and design reviews, performance feedback, and development planning.
• Promote adherence to organizational processes, project governance, security standards, quality controls, documentation practices, and change management procedures.
• Support stakeholder meetings, project reviews, customer discussions, demonstrations, and escalation management while maintaining professional and effective communication.
• Drive continuous improvement by reviewing delivery metrics, lessons learned, recurring issues, and team practices to improve productivity, quality, predictability, and customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 15 years in development & management of enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Javascript, jQuery, PgSQL/MSSQL/Oracle database.
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
• Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality software projects using JAVA, Spring Boot, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, Junit, Mockito, JQuery, Javascript, and other JAVA technologies.
• The individual should possess knowledge of Eclipse, GitHub, Soap UI, Postman, Jira, and SVN.
• The individual should possess knowledge of iBPS, OmniDocs, Omniscan etc and well versed with the concepts of Business process management.
• The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in web application security, REST/SOAP API, and possess expertise in performance and scalability.
• Experience in third-party integrations such as Corpass, SingPass, and Core Banking is essential.
• Familiarity with application servers like Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss, and preferred.
• knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Jenkins, Sonar would be advantageous.
• Hands on experience on AWS platform would also be advantageous.
