Job description

World Wide Technology (WWT) is a global technology integrator and supply chain solutions provider. Through

our culture of innovation we inspire, build and deliver business results, from idea to outcome. Headquartered in

St. Louis, WWT works closely with industry leaders such as Cisco, HP, EMC, NetApp, Citrix, VMware and Dell

across Fortune 500 companies, service providers and the public sector. WWT is actively hiring a Senior Project

Manager based in Singapore to lead Financial Services infrastructure programmes across Asia-Pacific.

Role summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing large and complex technical projects across multiple

workstreams, leveraging project management best practices to drive continuous improvement and consistently

deliver high-quality outcomes. Operating with significant latitude and independent judgment, the Senior PM weighs

the interests of multiple stakeholders, acts with the highest professionalism, and serves as a trusted advisor to clients

and internal partners. In this Singapore-based Financial Services role the incumbent also mentors Project Managers

and Coordinators and contributes to the health of the wider PMO practice.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple concurrent projects, defining interdependencies and actively managing the critical path.
  • Manage client interaction and expectations across multiple Financial Services engagements and build strong, durable customer relationships.
  • Implement engagement review and quality assurance procedures in line with WWT methodology to ensure profitable, successful execution measured against regional goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans; minimise WWT exposure and risk across the portfolio.
  • Manage and analyse profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilisation across projects; explain variances with root cause and drive corrective action.
  • Own resource planning across the portfolio, anticipating capacity conflicts and aligning staffing to delivery priorities before gaps surface.
  • Review high-level deliverables and design stakeholder-tiered communications, from delivery team status through to executive programme health briefings.
  • Support the presales process, service scoping and customer relationship building.
  • Coach and develop Project Managers and Project Coordinators on your engagements, delegating intentionally and giving real-time feedback.
  • Contribute playbooks, retrospectives and methodology enhancements that raise delivery standards across the PMO practice.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or a related field.
  • 10+ years of project management experience with an active PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Prior work experience with multinational customers in Financial Services.
  • Experience delivering projects or programmes with total value of US$200K - US$500K or above.
  • Prior networking, data centre transformation and data centre refresh project management experience strongly desired.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across a diverse OEM landscape on the same project or programme.
  • Delivery experience in network infrastructure and data centre hardware and software covering OEMs such as Cisco, HP, Dell, VMware, EMC and NetApp - at least two mandatory.
  • Proven success managing budgeted project P&L, including changes in cost and revenue, with the ability to understand, analyse and create financial reports.
  • Working knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
  • Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management and change management.
  • Proficiency with project management tooling such as Clarity, Microsoft Project, Excel and Smartsheet.
  • Prior experience with a large system integrator is an added advantage (not mandatory).
  • Fluency in one or more regional languages is highly desirable given Asia-Pacific portfolio coverage (not mandatory).
Knowledge, skills and capabilities:
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of project management, with the ability to coach others and adapt methods to the engagement context.
  • High financial acumen across forecasting, profitability analysis, variance explanation and corrective action.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent documentation, written, verbal and presentation communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capability with a solutions-first approach under pressure.
Attributes we look for
  • Passion to deliver on project objectives and make the customer successful.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done, and proactive initiative to implement improvements that contribute to the whole team's success.
