Job summary

WWT is seeking a Consulting Systems Engineer to lead pre‑sales and architectural engagements for Singapore and APAC clients. You will guide tailored IT solutions, collaborate with Sales, and shape discovery and architecture plans to meet demanding requirements.

You bring 10–15 years in senior client‑facing roles and multiple industry certifications, with deep expertise across applications, infrastructure, cyber, cloud, and data centers.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in senior client‑facing roles, technology integrators, or manufacturers.
• Certifications such as CCDE, CCIE, CISSP, AWS, Azure, GCP; familiarity with TOGAF, UAM.

Responsibilities

• Create and document a Client Architecture Plan for discovery.
• Engage in Technical Pre‑Sales Engineering and position solutions.
• Understand client priorities with the Sales team for tailored IT solutions.
• Deliver high‑quality pre‑sales deliverables: proposals, diagrams, service scopes.
• Lead workshops for requirements and scoping with customers, partners, and Sales.
• Build relationships with OEMs and services partners.
• Act as Trusted Advisor to engineers and consultants on architecture and optimization.
• Provide consultative support for enterprise solutions across technologies.
• Maintain strong client relationships with customer tech management.

What will you be doing?

As Consulting Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of providing exceptional technical support to our Singapore and APAC clients, ensuring they receive tailored solutions that meet and exceed their requirements. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting WWT’s largest Enterprise customers across Singapore and APAC.

Essential Functions

• Create and document a Client Architecture Plan: outline key areas for discovery in a templated manner, update quarterly.
• Engage in Technical Pre‑Sales Engineering: leverage expertise to understand client challenges and position solutions that meet and surpass customer requirements.
• Deep Client Understanding: work closely with clients and the WWT Sales team to gain a profound understanding of technical priorities, challenges, and initiatives for tailored IT solutions.
• Deliver High‑Quality Pre‑Sales Solutions: develop and ensure quality of pre‑sales technology solution deliverables such as proposals, architectural diagrams, and service scopes.
• Requirements and Scoping Workshops: actively participate with customers, delivery partners, and Sales.
• Build Relationships: develop and foster strong relationships with OEMs and key services partners.
• Trusted Advisor: advise the Engineering team on architecture and lead consultants on solutions and optimization.
• Consultative Support: provide consultative support for enterprise solutions across a spectrum of technologies.
• Strong Client Relationships: maintain robust relationships with customer technical management and teams.
• Identify services opportunities and work with the team to propose solutions and engagements across the WWT portfolio.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

10‑15 years of industry experience in client‑side senior roles, technology integrators, or manufacturers. Architectural and technical experience with applications, infrastructure, cyber, cloud, networking, data center, and end‑user experience solutions. Strong application development background and understanding of current trends and migration strategies. Deep subject‑matter expertise in two or more critical infrastructure parts.

Industry‑level certifications such as CCDE, CCIE, CISSP, CDP, MCSE, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. Experience consulting with Fortune 500 IT leadership on technology deployments, ideally in a sales environment. Familiarity with digital transformation and operating‑model design. Architectural training and/or experience in TOGAF, UAM, etc.

Familiarity with Big Data, AI, automation, end‑user experience and service‑management technologies, cloud containers, Kubernetes, cloud‑native services, storage, networking, and commercial models.

Strong presentation skills and understanding of business impact of technology decisions. Motivated to win in selling situations by solving client issues. Passion for learning and continuous technical expansion.

Experience/Background Desired

• 5+ years of pre‑sales engineering and solution architecture in enterprise domains.
• 5+ years of networking‑related experience.
• Minimum 3‑4 years in customer‑facing/consultative roles.
