Job summary

NTI Nanofilm is seeking a Project Manager to drive the Corp Lab initiatives in Singapore. You will govern projects, track progress against plans, manage budgets and risks, and set up a robust PM framework with stakeholder engagement across NTI and NTU.

The role requires 3–5 years of PM experience, an engineering or materials science degree, and CAPM/PMP certification. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential for collaboration with Chinese partners.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven project management experience in a research, academic, or multi-stakeholder environment.
• Degree in Engineering or Materials Science and CAPM/PMP certification preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera P6 or Project Libre.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking partners.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and track projects in Corp Lab.
• Track projects weekly according to project plans.
• Monitor project budgets monthly and escalate timely.
• Coordinate recurring meetings with NTI and NTU stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.

About the role

Ensure successful project execution for NTI-NTU Corp Lab, ensure effective governance of projects to Project Management practices and improve Project Management competencies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and track projects in Corp Lab
• Track projects weekly according to project plans
• Track project budget monthly and perform timely escalations
• Plan and execute recurring meeting cadences with key stakeholders from NTI and NTU
• Perform project risk assessment with risk mitigation plans
• Set up Project Management framework for the Corp Lab
• Set up and execute Project Management training plan for identified trainees, measuring competency levels before and after training

About you

• Holds a degree in Engineering (any discipline) or Materials Science
• Certified or trained in CAPM or PMP (Project Management Professional); active certification preferred
• 3–5 years of proven project management experience, ideally within a research, academic, or multi-stakeholder environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Project or equivalent tools such as Smartsheet, Primavera P6, or Project Libre; competent in the full Microsoft Office Suite
• Experienced in traditional (waterfall), agile, or hybrid project management methodologies, with the ability to adapt to the needs of research-driven projects
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin), enabling effective communication with Chinese-speaking suppliers, partners, and stakeholders
