Job description

Project Engineer (ACMV / Mechanical)

Responsibilities

• Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/ Senior Project Manager (SPM)/ Project Manager (PM) in day‑to‑day management of the contract
• Advise the PRPM/SPM/PM on site quality and safety issues
• Determine any non‑conformances on works
• Liaise with Contractor to rectify any non‑conformances and document them properly
• Ensure that decisions on site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable time frame
• Ensure that works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising on quality and safety
• Provide feedback to the PRPM/SPM/PM on quality and safety matters and suggest quality improvement measures for implementation on site
• Supervise installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation
• Lead a team of supervisors to ensure full time supervision of works on site by supervisor /client

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in project/construction environment
• Proficient in relevant software programmes for planning and project work
• Pro‑active team player with good analytical and communication skills
