Job summary

Outsource Projects in Singapore seeks a Project Engineer (ACMV / Mechanical) to assist senior PMs in day-to-day contract management on site. You will advise on quality and safety, determine non-conformances, and coordinate with contractors to rectify issues.

The role requires a Civil and Structural Engineering degree, 5+ years in project/construction, and hands-on experience with viaduct/flyover construction.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.
• At least 5 years of project/construction experience.
• Proficient with planning software for project work.
• Pro-active team player with strong analytical and communication skills.
• At least 2 years of viaduct and/or flyover construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist PMs in day-to-day management of the contract.
• Advise on site quality and safety issues.
• Determine non-conformances on works.
• Liaise with Contractor to rectify non-conformances and document them properly.
• Ensure decisions on site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable time frame.
• Ensure works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising quality and safety.
• Provide feedback on quality and safety matters and suggest improvements.
• Supervise installation and monitoring of instrumentation.
• Lead a team of supervisors to ensure full-time supervision of works on site.

Responsibilities

• Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/ Senior Project Manager (SPM)/ Project Manager (PM) in day-to-day management of the contract
• Advise the PRPM/SPM/PM on site quality and safety issues.
• Determine any non-conformances on works
• Liaise with Contractor to rectify any non-conformances and document them properly
• Ensure that decisions on site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable time frame.
• Ensure that works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising on quality and safety
• Provide feedback to the PRPM/SPM/PM on quality and safety matters and suggest quality improvement measures for implementation on site
• Supervise installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation
• Lead a team of supervisors to ensure full time supervision of works on site by supervisor /client

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in project/construction environment
• Proficient in relevant software programmes for planning and project work
• Pro-active team player with good analytical and communication skills
• Required to have at least 2 years of viaduct and/or flyover construction experience
