(Senior) Project Director – Large-Scale Commercial & Mixed-Use Developments

We are retained by an established Grade A international contractor in Singapore to appoint a Senior Project Director for major, high-value building developments.

The organisation has a strong track record delivering complex construction projects in Singapore and is continuing to grow its portfolio across commercial, mixed-use and other large-scale building developments.

This is a senior project leadership position with responsibility for the overall performance and successful delivery of major construction projects, from pre-construction and design development through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction across major, complex construction projects.

• Develop and drive project execution strategies covering programme, resources, procurement, cost, quality and delivery.

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate effectively across consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.

• Maintain oversight of project budgets, forecasting, cost control, commercial performance and profitability.

• Manage major contracts, procurement packages, variations, claims and commercial negotiations.

• Act as a senior point of contact for clients, consultants and relevant authorities.

• Identify and manage key project risks, resolving critical delivery issues and ensuring appropriate corrective action.

• Drive strong standards across safety, quality, regulatory compliance and project governance.

• Lead and develop Project Managers, Construction Managers and wider project teams.

• Provide input into tendering, project pursuits and pre-construction planning where required.

Candidate Profile

We are interested in speaking with senior construction professionals who bring:

• 20+ years of relevant construction and project delivery experience, with substantial experience in Singapore.

• A strong track record at Project Director / senior project leadership level on large and complex developments.

• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, high-value commercial, mixed-use or comparable building projects.

• Strong understanding of the Singapore construction environment and regulatory requirements.

• Proven responsibility across project delivery, programme, commercial performance, contracts, risk, safety and quality.

• The ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and manage senior-level client and stakeholder relationships.

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
