Construction Project Manager
The Role
Our client is an established construction and engineering organisation seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of major developments valued at S$500 million or more.
The role will oversee an ongoing project for a high-value international private client, as well as a newly secured landmark wellness development that is entering the pre-construction stage.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the safe, timely, commercially successful and high-quality delivery of projects from planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle, including planning, construction, commissioning, handover and closeout.
- Provide direction to project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
- Develop project execution strategies, construction methodologies, resource plans and delivery programmes.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement, cost control, contracts, variations and commercial risks.
- Ensure strict compliance with Singapore regulations, statutory approvals and Workplace Safety and Health requirements.
- Monitor project performance across safety, environment, quality, delivery and cost.
- Identify and resolve project risks, delays, quality issues and stakeholder concerns.
- Manage relationships with senior international clients, consultants, government agencies, contractors and other project partners.
- Provide clear reporting to senior management on programme, cost, safety, quality and key risks.
- Support tender reviews, pre-construction planning and business development where required.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, high-value and technically complex commercial projects.
- Track record of managing major projects or portfolios comparable to S$500 million or above.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore construction regulations, authority requirements, statutory approvals and stringent health and safety controls.
- Strong commercial experience across contracts, procurement, forecasting, cost management, claims, variations and risk.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder groups, including international private clients, government agencies, consultants, vendors and contractors.
- Polished, credible and commercially astute, with the ability to communicate confidently with senior international clients.
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Familiarity with the Singapore construction environment.
Experience across commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, wellness, institutional, industrial or other high-specification developments would be relevant.
