Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior airport engineering professional to lead end-to-end design, review, and implementation of airfield systems for airport projects. You will drive system architecture, drawings, and testing while ensuring compliance with ICAO Annex 14, FAA advisories, and client specs.

You will oversee the engineering team on projects from concept to handover, coordinate procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning, and maintain rigorous site supervision and reporting in

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Airport Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of engineering and project execution experience.
• Minimum 3 years of airport or airfield systems experience.
• Hands-on experience with AGLCMS, AFL Systems, CCR Systems.
• Experience with airfield power and lighting infrastructure and testing/commissioning.
• Experience working in operational airports and in greenfield/brownfield expansion projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed engineering design, review, and implementation of airport and airfield systems.
• Prepare and review system architecture drawings, shop drawings, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, interface documents, method statements, and testing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 14, FAA ACs, EASA Standards, and client specs.
• Provide technical support across the project lifecycle from concept to handover.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Monitor schedules and deliverables; identify and mitigate risks; prepare progress reports.
• Lead site engineers and commissioning teams; supervise subcontractors and verify against drawings.
• Coordinate with airport operations for site activities and conduct quality/site inspections.

Job description

• Lead detailed engineering design, review, and implementation of airport and airfield-related systems
• Prepare and review system architecture drawings, shop drawings, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, interface documents, method statements, and testing and commissioning procedures
• Ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 14, FAA Advisory Circulars, EASA Standards, airport authority specifications, and client technical requirements
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle from concept to handover
• Support the Project Manager in planning and executing airport projects
• Monitor project schedules and engineering deliverables
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities
• Track project progress and identify execution risks
• Prepare weekly and monthly project reports
• Participate in project review meetings and stakeholder discussions
• Lead engineering and implementation for runway lighting, taxiway lighting, stop bars, approach lighting systems, airfield guidance signs, PAPI systems, and apron lighting interfaces
• Supervise subcontractors and installation teams
• Verify installations comply with approved drawings and specifications
• Coordinate site activities with airport operations personnel
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks
• Ensure safe work within operational airside environments
• Manage site issues, technical queries, and design clarifications
