Job summary

Murata Electronics Singapore (PTE) LTD, based in Singapore at Yishun, seeks an experienced process engineer to propel improvements in post-process manufacturing and product quality, driving cost efficiency with highly specialized plating knowledge. You will transfer technologies from Japan, train local engineers, and serve as a bridge to Japan HQ and R&D to implement timely improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or science.
• 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Deep, specialized knowledge of plating processes.
• Business fluent Japanese and English for liaison with Japan HQ & R&D and local staff.

Responsibilities

• Align project policy and strategy with Japan HQ and group companies in Japan.
• Initiate periodic meetings with Japan HQ or related group companies to solve division issues.
• Improve product and post-process quality with focus on cost reduction.
• Drive post-process manufacturing efficiency and cost optimization.
• Transfer new technologies from Japan factories to Murata Singapore.
• Act as a bridge between Japan factories and R&D to timely implement information.
• Identify and propose improvements in quality, cost, efficiency and safety.
• Organize and provide technical training to local engineers.
