Job summary

Lightway HR Consultancy Pte. Ltd. is assisting in filling a Procurement Executive role for an OEM in the built environment. You will manage end-to-end procurement across lift projects, service operations and general requirements, sourcing spare parts, equipment and subcontractor services to support project delivery.

The role focuses on cost-effective sourcing, supplier relationship management and coordination with Project, Service, Engineering and Finance teams to meet urgent operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience.
  • Experience in M&E, engineering, construction, building services, technical services, industrial equipment or lift/elevator industry would be advantageous.
  • Experience procuring both technical parts/materials and subcontractor services is preferred.
  • Strong sourcing, quotation evaluation and negotiation skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and cost consciousness.
  • Able to understand technical specifications, part descriptions, drawings or engineering requirements.
  • Comfortable working independently in a smaller organisation with a broad and hands-on scope.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP or procurement systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for lift projects, service operations and general business requirements.
  • Source and procure lift spare parts, components, equipment, tools, consumables and other technical materials.
  • Source and coordinate subcontractor services for installation, maintenance, repair, testing and other project-related works.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times and other commercial terms.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and follow through on delivery, service completion and documentation.
  • Work closely with Project, Service, Engineering and Finance teams to understand procurement requirements and priorities.
  • Follow up on urgent spare-parts and operational requirements to minimise project or service disruptions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local and overseas suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing options to improve cost, lead time and supply reliability.
  • Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance in areas such as pricing, quality, delivery and service.
  • Support cost-control and procurement improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, quotations, pricing and purchase documentation.
  • Assist with inventory planning and coordination of critical spare parts where required.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal procedures and relevant contractual, quality and safety requirements.
  • Handle other procurement and supply-chain-related duties as required.

Job description

On behalf of the hiring company, an OEM in the built environment space, we are looking for a suitable candidate to join them as a Procurement Executive.

This is an individual contributor role suited to someone who is comfortable managing a broad procurement scope, including spare parts, technical materials, equipment, consumables and subcontractor services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for lift projects, service operations and general business requirements.
