Qualifications

  • Diploma/degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or Business.
  • 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in spare parts or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of spare parts procurement is essential.
  • Understanding of technical components, machinery parts, OEM requirements.
  • Experience sourcing OEM and aftermarket spare parts.
  • Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to read technical specifications, drawings, catalogs, and equipment documentation.
  • Knowledge of international/local purchasing processes, shipping terms, and lead times.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement/ERP systems.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize multiple procurement requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement for spare parts, components, and technical materials.
  • Source spare parts from local and international suppliers based on technical and commercial requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate suitable suppliers based on quality, price, availability, lead time, and reliability.
  • Review technical specifications, part numbers, drawings, equipment information, and other relevant documentation to ensure the correct spare parts are sourced.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Warehouse, and other internal teams to understand spare parts requirements.
  • Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and achieve cost-effective procurement.
  • Monitor purchase orders and follow up closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of critical spare parts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
  • Research alternative suppliers and equivalent/OEM-approved parts where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, pricing, lead times, and part details.
  • Support inventory planning by monitoring stock availability, lead times, and critical spare parts requirements.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues involving quality, delivery, pricing, specifications, and documentation.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, approval processes, and applicable commercial requirements.
  • Support cost-saving and supplier development initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in procurement within an engineering, industrial, machinery, marine, manufacturing, or similar environment, with a strong understanding of technical spare parts and procurement processes.

  • Experience sourcing both OEM and alternative/aftermarket spare parts.
  • Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications, drawings, catalogues, and equipment documentation.
  • Good understanding of international/local purchasing processes, shipping terms, and lead times.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement/ERP systems.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize multiple procurement requirements, and manage urgent/critical spare parts orders.
