Job summary

Randstad Singapore invites a seasoned procurement professional to lead NPI sourcing from design through mass production, focusing on cost, quality and supplier onboarding.

You will drive end-to-end sourcing for New Product Introductions, collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Category teams, manage overseas and local suppliers, and help optimize lead times and cost models to enable smooth product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Procurement, NPI, or Material Engineering within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and BOM structures, with a proven track record in global supplier management and cost negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing for New Product Introductions, engaging suppliers early in the design phase to ensure strict cost, quality, and availability targets are met.
• Drive aggressive cost-reduction strategies through target costing, product teardowns, and expert negotiation of supplier pricing and terms.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, and Category teams to align product requirements with commodity strategies and ensure seamless product launches.
• Manage the full lifecycle of overseas and local suppliers, from vetting and onboarding to mitigating risks and building long-term, value-added partnerships.
• Analyse lead times, maintain up-to-date product cost models, and identify critical paths to prioritise demand and resolve manufacturing bottlenecks.
