Job summary

Neste in Singapore is seeking a Senior Project Process Safety Engineer to strengthen Life Cycle PHAs across the refinery and investment projects. You will plan, chair, and document HAZOPs, LO‑PA, and FHAs, ensuring safety-by-design across project lifecycles and close collaboration with local operations and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of direct Process Safety experience in engineering or high-hazard industries.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical/Process/Safety Engineering or related field.
• Facilitation expertise in organizing, chairing, and documenting PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA/FHA/HAZID).
• Deep knowledge of Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and SIL classification.
• Strong understanding of process safety, risk management, and fire hazards in oil/chemical plants.
• Proficiency with HSE standards (API/NFPA/ISO).
• Proven ability to lead HSE activities across investment project lifecycles.
• Fluent English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Life Cycle PHA Facilitation: plan, chair, and document PHAs, re-validations, HAZOPs, LOPAs, and FHAs.
• HSE Compliance & Governance: ensure local regulations and corporate standards are implemented.
• Technical Consultancy: advise project teams on process safety, explosion protection, and fireproofing.
• HSE Project Leadership: lead, track, and report HSE activities across projects.
• Best Practice Development: refine process safety methodologies with stakeholders.
