Job summary

STMICROELECTRONICS PTE LTD is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead process development and optimization for CMP-related manufacturing. You will drive root-cause analysis for complex issues, implement improvements, and support new product introductions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires hands-on capability in a cleanroom, strong data analysis skills, and excellent communication to mentor junior engineers and present progress to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Experience in Cu CMP is preferred and AMAT Mirra experience is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing principles and CMP fundamentals.
• Ability to interpret semiconductor process flows and adjust equipment parameters accordingly.
• Experience analyzing wafer surface defects and material removal-rate performance.
• Data analysis skills and familiarity with data tools are a plus.
• Hands-on capability and willingness to work in a cleanroom.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development, optimization, and troubleshooting to improve yield, productivity, and quality.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations and defects.
• Develop and implement process improvements, standards, and controls.
• Support new product introductions, process transfers, and qualification activities.
• Mentor shop-floor engineers and present findings to management.
• Maintain and update process documentation and work instructions.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, IE, and R&D teams.
