Job summary

Viatris is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to serve as the site's senior technical expert responsible for driving process excellence, operational competitiveness, and long-term manufacturing performance improvement. The role spans process design, optimization, and scale-up across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will apply advanced chemical engineering principles, data analysis, and process control expertise to improve yield, reduce cycle time, and lower costs while maintaining GMP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in API, pharmaceutical, specialty chemical or petrochemical manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience in process optimization, manufacturing excellence, process control, technology transfer and capital project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical owner for assigned process areas across the product lifecycle.
• Lead initiatives to improve yields, throughput, cycle times, plant capacity and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Lead cross-functional teams for technology transfer, scale-up, validation and commercialization activities.
• Develop and implement process optimization projects to reduce raw material consumption, solvent losses and manufacturing costs.
• Provide strategic input into capital investment planning and manufacturing network decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as deputy to the Process Manager/Senior Process Manager as required.
