Job summary

GenScript Biotech Corporation seeks a Principal Scientist to lead bispecific antibody design and engineering, strengthening Singapore’s center of excellence. You will guide molecular design strategy, optimize expression and manufacturability, and drive cross-functional collaboration on biologics projects.

Lead a team, advance AI-enabled design-for-manufacturability, and contribute to IP through publications and patents while aligning with production realities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Structural Biology, Bioengineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in antibody design, protein expression, and purification, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Strong expertise in bispecific design and troubleshooting expression challenges.
• A demonstrated record of success with protein engineering for enhanced expression or properties.
• Experience with the biophysical characterization of proteins and the assessment of protein-protein interactions.
• Familiarity with automation and high-throughput techniques for protein expression and purification.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with publications and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot design/engineering of complex antibody formats (bispecifics, Fc-fusions) for high yield and purity.
• Design and manage a portfolio of projects to improve expression, stability, and manufacturability.
• Oversee a team of researchers, providing technical guidance and fostering excellence in protein science.
