Job summary

SSMC, a joint venture between NXP and TSMC, invites applications for a Senior/Principal Engineer in the Photo Equipment department to sustain and optimize ASML XT lithography platforms in our Singapore fab.

You will rotate shifts to support production, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot Level 1 and 2 issues, and mentor junior engineers while upholding ISO standards and 6S practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with ASML PAS/XT lithography systems.
• Strong expertise in ASML XT lithography platforms, including operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment working with ASML XT platforms.
• Candidates with more than 3 years of relevant experience will be considered for a Senior Engineer position.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve ASML XT platform performance to meet production goals.
• Perform rotating/swing shift duties to provide first-line technical support to production.
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities effectively.
• Perform Level 1 troubleshooting, including basic equipment recovery.
• Perform Level 2 troubleshooting, including replacement of critical components.
• Mentor and develop Senior Assistant Engineers and junior team members.
• Document preventive maintenance, recovery procedures, and best-known methods.
• Monitor and review machine performance.
• Plan preventive maintenance schedules and forecast spare parts/consumables usage.
• Improve machine capacity, efficiency, and ergonomics.
• Ensure timely calibration of measuring instruments per specifications.
• Maintain ISO compliance and related requirements.
• Support machine part repair and R&M cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure 6S housekeeping and safety in the fab.
• Collaborate with Mother FAB on best-known methods and benchmarking.

• Improve machine capacity, efficiency, and ergonomics.
• Ensure timely calibration of measuring instruments in accordance with specifications.
• Maintain compliance with ISO standards and related requirements.
• Support machine part repair and R&M cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure good 6S housekeeping and safety practices within the fab.
• Collaborate with the Mother FAB to share best-known methods and benchmarking practices.
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team (ERT) during emergency situations.
• Contribute to Transform programs (10K Ideas, LSS, and BKM) to improve equipment utilization and reduce maintenance costs.
• Support new equipment start-up activities, from facility hook-up and vendor start-up through production acceptance.
• Review and follow up on Daily Rework, RTM, FDC, SPC, Alarm 3, and EMAP activities.

More about you:
