Job summary

SSMC in Singapore is seeking a Photo Process Engineer to be part of our Photo, Process Eng. II team. You will support photo-related activities to meet targets while sustaining line operations and performing root cause analyses.

Responsibilities include process and tool ownership, SOP maintenance, cross-functional improvement projects, and driving yield/quality improvements through DOE, SPC, and systematic problem solving. 1–3 years in semiconductor manufacturing or strong interest welcomed.

Qualifications

• PhD/Master/Degree in Chemical, Materials, Chemistry, Physics or Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related fields.
• 1–3 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience or fresh graduates with keen interest.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; statistical analysis tools like MiniTab or JMP.

Responsibilities

• Support Photo-related activities to achieve operation targets and objectives.
• Sustain line operations, troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Own production and metrology process/tools for cost, uptime and defect reduction.
• Contribute to SOPs/OIs and BKMs to optimize processes and equipment.
• Lead cross-functional, continuous improvement projects (DOE, SPC, run charts) for yield and productivity.
• Participate in product transfers, startups, and ramp between global wafer fabs.
• Develop lean Six Sigma initiatives, BKMs and automation solutions for quality/cost improvements.

We’re searching for an Photo Process Engineer to be part of our Photo, Process Eng. II Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• To support Photo related activities to achieve operation targets and meet company objectives
• Sustaining line operations, troubleshooting (Participate/implementing corrective and preventive measures) and root cause analysis
• Production and metrology process/tool ownership and accountability for Cost, Uptime, Wafers scrap, process sustaining issues
• Participate in creation and continuous review of Operating Instructions (OI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Best Known Methods (BKMS) to optimize Process and Equipment procedures
• Design, construct ,execute and Participate in cross functional and continuous improvement projects in fields of: Yield, quality, cost, productivity, efficiency, throughput, tool startups , uptime , defects reduction, production line issues and tools defense, work improvement utilizing a wide variety of analytical techniques (run charts, Histograms, Pareto charts, Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical process control charts (SPC)
• Participate/contribute in Process and Product transfers or production ramp to and from different global networked wafer fabs from Development to engineering and manufacturing
• New process/product startup, optimization, development and improvement
• Participate in Transform Platform and develop Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Best Known Methods (BKM) , patents and Trade Secrets and drive value creation
• Support implementation of TSMC/NXP BKMs and develop SSMC BKMs, contribute to automation solutions for quality and cost improvements, and lead cross-functional troubleshooting to resolve product yield and technical issues.
• Develop FMEA for Custom & Derivative processes.

More about you

• PhD/Master/Degree in Chemical , Materials , Chemistry , Physics and Electrical, Electronics Engineering and other relevant fields
• 1-3 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment. Fresh graduates with keen interest to develop a career in semiconductor manufacturing environment are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook applications
• Statistical analysis experience using Mini Tab or JMP
