Job summary

SingHealth Integrated Pathology Services invites applications for a Senior Principal Medical Laboratory Scientist to provide expert scientific, operational, and technical leadership across the SingHealth cluster.

You will harmonise laboratory practices, support health screening programmes, and drive digital pathology adoption, collaborating with Academic Chair, laboratory heads, and cross-institutional stakeholders to shape a high-quality, future-ready pathology service for Singapore.

Qualifications

PhD, MSc or degree in Biomedical Science or related field with at least 12 years of experience.
Strong technical expertise in a pathology discipline.
Experience with CAP or ISO 15189/SAC-SINGLAS accreditation.
Excellent analytical, communication and project management skills.
Ability to work across diverse teams and institutions.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership in scientific standards, governance and operational practices across SingHealth institutions.
Lead cluster-wide integration of blood bank laboratory services and align testing platforms and workflows.
Provide leadership for services supporting population health and health screening programmes.
Contribute to new and expanded pathology service development incl. workload analyses and demand-capacity studies.
Support the digital pathology roadmap and data integration for clinical and operational teams.
Develop competency frameworks, training roadmaps and succession plans for specialist tracks.
Advise on capital equipment planning, platform evaluation and resource optimisation.
