Job summary

BLACK & WHITE ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Principal Power Systems Engineer to lead complex HV/MV projects in Singapore and the APAC region. The role blends hands-on delivery with project leadership and close client engagement to advance mission critical data centre infrastructure solutions.

You'll define engineering approaches, oversee studies and power system analysis, mentor engineers, and drive technical governance across regional teams to ensure high quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional standing expected.
• Extensive experience in HV/MV Power Systems engineering and delivery of significant projects.
• Ability to lead engineering from concept through detailed design to implementation.
• Strong understanding of HV/MV system architecture and power system studies.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for major Power Systems projects and defined areas of responsibility.
• Establish engineering approach, design basis and execution strategy.
• Lead development of HV/MV system architecture and major technical decisions.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables within delegated authority.
• Provide technical assurance that outputs are coordinated and fit for purpose.
• Define activities, deliverables and resource requirements for projects.
• Mentor and develop team members and support progression.
• Engage with clients and build trusted technical relationships.
• Identify and manage technical, programme and commercial risks.
• Lead or contribute to definition of scopes, fee estimates and proposals.
