Job summary

LITEON Singapore Pte. Ltd. invites a senior researcher to join the Cloud Infrastructure Platform and Solutions (CIPS) Research Team. You will lead early-stage research projects, partnering with academia, suppliers, customers and research institutions to deliver proof-of-concept designs.

You will drive project delivery, mentor engineers, define strategy, and contribute hands-on to designs and documentation within a world-class R&D environment in Singapore.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our CloudInfrastructure Platform and Solutions (CIPS) Research Team. Our CIPS Researchteam is focussed on developing future technology systems to support growth inthe rapidly evolving data center sector. The successful candidate will bedirectly involved in early-stage research projects, working with academicinstitutions, suppliers, customers, and partners to deliver proof of conceptdesigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor market trends and industry research to define the research strategy and product roadmap.
• Drive the delivery of multiple projects, ensuring the engineering team has the technical direction and support required to deliver industry leading proof of concept designs within target timelines.
• Lead and mentor a group of engineers, supporting career development with goal setting and regular check-ins.
• Identify the skills needed in the team and help with recruitment of suitable engineers.
• Prioritise projects and allocate engineering resource.
• Work with a commitment to continuous improvement, transparency and technical expertise.
• Review designs and documentation, using technical experience to guide projects to success.
• Work as a hands-on individual contributor, researching key topics and delivering designs and documentation.
• Manage the delivery of collaboration projects with internal teams, suppliers, customers and research institutions.

Requirements

• PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years experience in power electronics research, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team-lead role.
• Strong understanding of electronics hardware design, common power electronics architectures and control.
• Experience with architecture drawings, electronic schematics, component datasheets and PCB layout drawings.
• Knowledge of embedded software (C/C++) andcoding practices is preferred.
• Hands-on prototyping and testing experienceusing oscilloscopes, electronic loads and power analysers.
• Familiarity with SiC/GaN devices, magneticsdesign, EMI, and thermal management.
• Expertise in using simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink,LTspice, Python, etc).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadershipand communication skills.
• Experience planning projects, allocatingengineering resource and project status reporting.
• Demonstrated passion for innovation and commitment to continuous learning.
