Job summary

LITE-ON SINGAPORE PTE LTD's Cloud Infrastructure Platform and Solutions (CIPS) Research Team is seeking a senior researcher to advance power electronics for data centers. You will work with academia, suppliers and customers on early-stage concepts and proofs of concept.

As a hands-on contributor with 8+ years of power electronics research, you will lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and develop models, simulations and test setups using MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice and Python, while aiming for

Qualifications

PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field.
8+ years’ experience in power electronics research with increasing mentorship responsibilities.
Expertise in power electronics topologies, magnetics, control schemes and components.
Experience with architecture drawings, schematics, datasheets and PCB layouts.
Knowledge of embedded software (C/C++) and coding practices preferred.
Hands-on prototyping and testing with oscilloscopes, electronic loads and power analyzers.
Familiarity with SiC/GaN devices, EMI, HVDC and regulatory standards.
Expertise in using MATLAB, Simulink, LTspice and Python; strong analytics and leadership.

Responsibilities

Monitor market trends and identify opportunities in power architectures for data centers.
Drive design, modelling, simulation, prototyping and testing of new power topologies and control schemes.
Oversee design reviews and own technical project direction.
Represent the company as SME when engaging with suppliers, customers and partners.
Help create, review and improve research project processes from idea to transfer.
Identify team skills and support recruitment of suitable engineers.
Commit to continuous improvement, transparency and technical excellence.
Work as a hands-on contributor researching topics and delivering ideas, designs and documentation.
