Job summary

Lite-On Singapore Pte. Ltd. invites applications for a research-focused role in our Cloud Infrastructure Platform and Solutions (CIPS) Research Team.

You will contribute to early-stage projects with academia, suppliers, customers and partners, delivering proof of concept designs for next‑gen data center technologies. The ideal candidate holds a PhD or Master’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, 3+ years in power electronics research, with hands-on prototyping, modelling, and collaboration

Qualifications

PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
3+ years’ experience in power electronics research with mentorship.
Expertise in power electronics topologies, magnetics, control schemes and components.
Experience with architecture drawings, schematics, datasheets and PCB layouts.
Knowledge of embedded software (C/C++) and coding practices.
Hands‑on prototyping and testing with oscilloscopes, loads and power analysers.
Familiarity with SiC/GaN devices, EMI, HVDC, solid state transformers, thermal design and standards.
Proficiency in using MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, Python and other simulation tools.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor market trends and research to identify breakthrough opportunities in power architectures for data centers.
Drive design, modelling, simulation, prototyping and testing of new power topologies and control schemes.
Oversee design reviews and own technical project direction.
Represent the company as a subject matter expert with suppliers, customers, and partners.
Create, review and improve research project processes from idea to transfer deliverables.
Identify team skills needs and support recruitment of engineers.
Commit to continuous improvement, transparency, and technical excellence.
Work as a hands‑on contributor delivering ideas, designs and documentation.
