Job summary

Matrix Automation Solutions Pte Ltd seeks a Senior Software Engineer to develop and refine software for automated machinery and robotic systems across manufacturing, packaging, electronics, and more. You will collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-performance automation systems that meet safety, efficiency, and reliability standards.

You will lead control design efforts, program PLC/SCADA/HMI systems, and guide a team through testing,

Qualifications

Bachelor-level engineering or higher with electrical/industrial automation focus.
Minimum 5 years of experience in automation/industrial controls.
Knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA/HMI software.
Familiarity with Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus.
Experience with project documentation and site testing/commissioning.

Responsibilities

Liaise on control design and process flow from concept to design, configuration & programming.
Develop and troubleshoot PLC and HMI/SCADA programs.
Troubleshoot electrical/software issues with assembly/debug team.
Lead and coach the control/electrical team.
Oversee project documentation for new/refurbished projects.
Perform testing & commissioning on-site, including overseas when required.
Coordinate resources to meet project timelines.
Travel locally and overseas as needed.
Support IT, OT, IQ/OQ/PQ for new projects.
