Kaishi Partners is seeking a Backend Platform Engineer to own the platform core, extract shared capabilities, and set the technical bar for a distributed engineering team across time zones. You will lead multi-tenant SaaS design and secure, scalable architectures while keeping delivery moving.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production backend systems, Staff-level experience across multiple teams.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS design, testing and operations.
• Strong security and data-handling instincts, ideally in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Build shared capabilities for configuration, identity, permissions, tenant isolation, model access, and evaluation.
• Extract capabilities from existing products without stopping delivery and drive adoption across teams.
• Make architecture and migration decisions across repositories from design to production operation.
• Set and uphold standards for ownership, review, testing, security and release; mentor teams under pressure.
• Provide safe ways to vary behavior per client without forks or hard-coded conditions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure on deployment, CI/CD, and observability.
• Ensure every important system has a second owner and clear runbooks.
